The focus of this professional learning session is to address academic, behavioral, and social domains in tandem through a Comprehensive, Integrated Three-tiered (Ci3T) Model of Prevention. As part of this integrated approach, screening and assessment systems are put in place to support early detection efforts across Pre-K through 12th grade continuum as well as accurate assessment of student performance over time. Schools will create systems for proactively responding to identified students' needs to increase academic, behavioral, and social success.

These 5 half-day sessions will be provided to the school teams that attended the full 6-session Comprehensive Integrated Three-Tiered (Ci3T) Model of Prevention professional learning in the 2017-2018 school year. The SSD Ci3T Team will provide training specific to installing and implementing the Ci3T framework.

School teams that attended the full Ci3T professional learning series in the 2015-16 school year or 2016-2017 year.

PBIS: Ci3T Cohort: Sustaining Year

These 3 half-day sessions will be provided to the school teams that have completed two full years of Ci3T professional learning. Outcomes will be focused around building capacity to sustain the work, using mutlitple data sets for decision making, integrating systems, and building inclusive settings.

PBIS: Tier 2/3 Systems Team - Getting Started

In this two-day professional learning we will explore how and when resources and systems are organized to ensure the success of all students including students with disabilities as part of a comprehensive, integrated, three-tiered (Ci3T) model of prevention and intervention. We will examine critical features of a Tier 2/3 system, the role of the Tier 2/3 Systems Team, and tools for collecting data to determine students who are nonresponsive to school-wide behavioral expectations, interventions, and supports. Participants will learn the critical features of Check-In Check-Out (CICO), andProblem Solving with Function in Mind. During these two days, time will be allocated for your team to review TFI data, develop/revise your action plan, tools, and intervenion guildelines. Coaching support will be provided.

PBIS: Tier 2/3 Systems Team - Extending - Social Skills

Individual orofessional learning sessions will be offered for school teams who have previously attended Tier 2/3 Systems Team - Getting Started professional learning. In order for schols to support the diferentiated needs of studetns, this session will offer additional Tier 2 interventions as part of an integrated there tiered system of prevention and intervention. School teams will continue to explore, develop, and revise the components of a Tier 2/3 System, including critical features such as the intervention implementation manual, intervention guidelines, data tracking tools, etc. The focus of this session will be on the specific practice of teaching social skills/social emotional learning.

Staff member with the role/responsibility to teach social skills/social emotional learning strategies (counselor, special education teacher, social worker)

PBIS: Tier 2/3 - Evidence Based PRactices for Internalizing Behaviors
February 5, 2018   8:30-11:30                                        
 
The professional learning is an opportunity for participants to increase their understanding and knowledge of internalizing behaviors. Connections will be made to Tier 2 and 3 interventions such as self-monitoring, social skills, Check in Check Out, Functional Assessment-Based Interventions (FABI), RENEW, and Wraparound. Participants will learn how interventions may be tailored to support students with internalizing behaviors within these interventions.

PBIS: Tier 3 - Functional Assessment-based Interventions (FA-BI)

Participants will learn and apply the Tier 3 intervention of Functional Assessment-based intervenion (FA-BI) collaborative planning process for students needing intensive, individualized support. Teams will know and use informant and direct observation methods of data collection, and functional assessment data to determine a summary or hypothesis statement. Additionally, participants will develop a function-based behavior intervention plan(s) with all required components, and will use a team approach to evaluate student progress and modify the plan(s) based on data collected. This course will be a combination of face to face and online flipped learning. Participants will be asked to view online modules before coming to each session.

This year several options to learn Functional Assessment skills will be available for staff. School teams are encouraged to attend the full 2 and haf day training. Staff are also invited to attend half day skill set trainings to learn various compoments of the process such as identifying function or data collection.
