The focus of this professional learning session is to address academic, behavioral, and social domains in tandem through a Comprehensive, Integrated Three-tiered (Ci3T) Model of Prevention. As part of this integrated approach, screening and assessment systems are put in place to support early detection efforts across Pre-K through 12th grade continuum as well as accurate assessment of student performance over time. Schools will create systems for proactively responding to identified students' needs to increase academic, behavioral, and social success.

Dr. Kathleen Lane and the SSD Ci3T Team will provide training specific to installing and implementing the Ci3T framework.

School teams will be provided an opportunity to dialogue and network with others across the county to build culturally responsive positive behavioral interventions and supports (CRPBIS) in order to enhance the impact of outcomes for all stduents in an equitable and positive way. Participants will engage in conversations connected to cultural responsiveness, academic and behavioral disproportionality, and the critical components for building culturally relevant SWPBIS.

PBIS: Tier 2/3 Systems Team - Getting Started

In this two-day professional learning we will explore how and when resources and systems are organized to ensure the success of all students including students with disabilities as part of a comprehensive, integrated, three-tiered (Ci3T) model of prevention and intervention. We will examine critical features of a Tier 2/3 system, the role of the Tier 2/3 Systems Team, and tools for collecting data to determine students who are nonresponsive to school-wide behavioral expectations, interventions, and supports. Participants will learn the critical features of two Tier 2 interventions, Check-In Check-Out (CICO), and Newcomers' Club. During these two days, time will be allocated for your team to review TFI data, develop/revise your action plan, tools, and intervenion guildelines. Coaching support will be provided.

PBIS: Tier 2/3 Systems Team - Extending - Social Skills

Individual orofessional learning sessions will be offered for school teams who have previously attended Tier 2/3 Systems Team - Getting Started professional learning. In order for schols to support the diferentiated needs of studetns, this session will offer additional Tier 2 interventions as part of an integrated there tiered system of prevention and intervention. School teams will continue to explore, develop, and revise the components of a Tier 2/3 System, including critical features such as the intervention implementation manual, intervention guidelines, data tracking tools, etc. The focus of this session will be on the specific practice of teaching social skills/social emotional learning.

This professional learning is an opportunity for participants to increase their understanding and knowledge of internalizing behaviors. Participants will learn how interventions may be tailored to support students with internalizing behaviors within thses interventions.

The professional learning will support participants to use a simple, systematic approach for students with mild/moderate behavioral and academic needs. The process will guide the team to develop a support plan based on the function of behavior, as well as, identifying data to monitor student outcomes. Participants will learn why to use a problem solving with function in mind process, function-based interventions, process steps, and how to facilitate the conversation. Coaching support will be offered to participants as a follow up.

PBIS: Tier 3 - Functional Assessment-based Interventions (FA-BI)

Participants will learn and apply the Tier 3 intervention of Functional Assessment-based intervenion (FA-BI) collaborative planning process for students needing intensive, individualized support. Teams will know and use informant and direct observation methods of data collection, and functional assessment data to determine a summary or hypothesis statement. Additionally, participants will develop a function-based behavior intervention plan(s) with all required components, and will use a team approach to evaluate student progress and modify the plan(s) based on data collected. This course will be a combination of face to face and online flipped learning. Participants will be asked to view online modules before coming to each session.

This professional learning opportunity is designed for high schools. RENEW is a structured school-to-career transition planning and individualized wraparound process for youth with emotional and behavioral challenges. The model focuses on supporting youth to design and pursue a plan for the transition from school to adult life. REWNEW has substantially increased high sschool completion, employment, and post-secondary education participation rates among our most vulnerable youth. Key features include:

PBIS: Tier 3 - Wraparound - Getting Started
 TBD and/or available upon request within district.
 
This two-part profesional learning series is designed for schools maintaining and sustaining Tier 1& 2 systems and practices and are ready to implement a Tier 3-level support through Wraparound. Overviews of the Wraparound approach and data-based decision making process will be provided. Wraparound is an approach for implementing individual teams and plans for students with comprehensive emotional and behavioral needs. The content will adress how Wraparound is effectively implemented in schools by building collaborative teams and comprehensive plans among teachers, families, and community agencies. A step-by-steo process for developing a wraparound team and plan along with strategies for integrating data-based decision making into teh wraparound process while monitoring and evaluating effectiveness will be shared. In addtion, recommendations for school team development will be described.
