PBIS 2016-17 Evaluation
It is time once again for the annual PBIS Evaluation. Schools in St. Louis County will be completing a similar process to last year including the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) between January 23 through April 7, 2017. As a slight change, please be aware that the Self-Assessment Survey (SAS) will be open for schools during this time. Both the TFI and  SAS are state requirements for schools who wish to apply for the MO-SWPS Award of Recognition. To access the surveys, teams will log in to The TFI is a team-completed single submission survey, so teams will work together to self-assess and gain consensus on item scores and one electronic submission will be completed through PBIS Apps. The SAS is a multiple-response survey, which means one team member with a log-in to PBIS Apps will access the survey link from their school's dashboard, copy this link, and email it to all staff.
Detailed information on this year's evaluation can be found in the 2016-17 Evaluation Letter.

In St. Louis County the PBIS project is transitioning from the PBIS framework to the next generation of tiered intervention systems, Comprehensive Integrated Three Tiered Model of Prevention (CI3T).  This model addresses students’ multifaceted needs and offers school-site leadership teams to consider multiple needs simultaneously in an integrated fashion. CI3T framework was previously developed and implemented in other schools, districts, regions, and state by Dr. Kathleen Lane and colleagues prior to coming to the SSD Planning and Development Department.  A partnership between SSD and Dr. Kathleen Lane at Kansas University was established in August of 2009 to move forward the efforts of an integrated approach to academic, behavioral and social skill programming.

The CI3T = MTSS/PBIS/RTI project is designed to partner with local school districts in the implementation of a data-driven, problem-solving model within a multi-tier delivery system. CI3T focuses on integrating academic, social, and behavioral supports.

CI3T is a continuous improvement model in which problem solving and data-based decision making occur in an ongoing way and across multiple levels of the educational system. CI3T can be used as the framework within school improvement efforts to support integrated and unified systems improvement.

SSD Planning and Development started with one cohort (one district) in 2014 and added 6 more schools from varying districts this past school year.
